Archiving Policy
The Journal of Bioscience Studies (JBS) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content, ensuring the permanent availability of research articles through internationally recognized digital archiving systems and multiple secure storage solutions. JBS utilizes the LOCKSS network, which distributes and stores copies across participating libraries worldwide, ensuring accessibility and protection even in cases of data loss or journal discontinuation. Additionally, JBS participates in the CLOCKSS initiative, an open-access digital preservation system that guarantees perpetual availability of scholarly content under unforeseen circumstances. The journal also integrates with the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), an automated archiving service within Open Journal Systems (OJS) that supports open-access compliance and enhances global content accessibility. All articles published by JBS receive a CrossRef Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring persistent linking, reliable citation, and long-term discoverability regardless of website changes. To further strengthen content security, JBS maintains regular cloud-based backups of all articles and metadata on Google Drive, protecting the journal’s content against accidental loss, system failures, or cyber threats. JBS also upholds a supportive self-archiving policy, allowing authors to share preprints on non-commercial platforms, deposit accepted manuscripts on personal or institutional websites with proper citation, and retain the published PDF for personal use. Through these comprehensive preservation measures, JBS ensures that its scholarly content remains permanently accessible, securely archived, and retrievable for future generations of researchers.
