Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Bioscience Studies (JBS) ensures the highest standards of scholarly publishing through a rigorous double-blind peer review process designed to maintain the integrity, quality, and validity of all published research. Every submission undergoes an initial screening by the Editor-in-Chief or designated editors to assess suitability, ethical compliance, and adherence to journal guidelines, with non-compliant manuscripts returned without review. In the double-blind system, the identities of authors and reviewers remain fully anonymous, and at least two expert reviewers—selected based on their specialization and scholarly credentials—evaluate each manuscript for scientific rigor, originality, clarity, methodological soundness, data integrity, and ethical adherence. Reviewers must declare conflicts of interest and maintain strict confidentiality while providing objective, timely, and constructive feedback. Editorial decisions are based on reviewer reports and may result in acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejection; manuscripts requiring revisions must be resubmitted with a detailed response addressing reviewer comments. Authors may file a formal appeal if they disagree with a decision, which will be reassessed by the Editor-in-Chief and, if necessary, additional reviewers. JBS strictly follows COPE guidelines to ensure ethical integrity throughout the review process and enforces stringent measures against plagiarism, data fabrication, and unethical practices. Maintaining full editorial independence, the journal ensures that all decisions are made objectively and free from commercial, political, or personal influence, thereby preserving transparency, fairness, and trust in its peer review system.
