Licensing Policy

The Journal of Bioscience Studies (JBS) is a fully open-access journal committed to providing immediate and unrestricted access to its published scholarly content. All articles published by JBS are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International The CC BY 4.0 license permits others to copy, distribute, reproduce, adapt, and commercially reuse the published work in any medium or format, provided appropriate credit is given to the original author and source, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made to the original work are indicated.
License Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)
Copyright and Author Rights Authors retain copyright of their published work. JBS does not require authors to transfer copyright to the journal as a condition of publication. Authors retain the right to share, distribute, reuse, and otherwise make lawful use of their work in accordance with the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license.
Publishing License By submitting a manuscript, authors grant JBS a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, archive, and disseminate the article as part of the journal’s scholarly publishing activities. This license enables JBS to identify itself as the original publisher and to make the published Version of Record available through appropriate digital platforms, repositories, and preservation services.
Version of Record The final published Version of Record is made openly accessible immediately upon publication under the CC BY 4.0 license. Authors may share and deposit the Version of Record in institutional, subject, or other appropriate repositories immediately upon publication with no embargo.
Repository and Digital Preservation JBS supports responsible repository deposit and long-term digital preservation of published scholarly content. Published articles may be deposited in suitable institutional, subject, and preservation repositories to support continued accessibility, discoverability, and scholarly reuse.
Third-Party Material Material belonging to third parties, including photographs, figures, tables, illustrations, or previously published text, may not automatically be covered by the CC BY 4.0 license. Authors are responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions and providing appropriate attribution for such material.
Attribution and Reuse Any reuse of material published by JBS should provide appropriate attribution to the author and the original publication, identify JBS as the original source where applicable, include a link to the CC BY 4.0 license, and indicate whether changes were made.
Policy Transparency JBS maintains transparent licensing and copyright practices to support author rights, unrestricted scholarly access, responsible reuse, and long-term dissemination of published research. This licensing policy applies consistently to all articles published by the journal and forms part of JBS’s broader open-access, publication-ethics, and research-integrity framework.
