Article Processing Charges (APC)
The Journal of Bioscience Studies (JBS) is committed to transparent and fair open-access publishing practices.
1. Submission Fees JBS does not charge any submission fees. Authors may submit manuscripts free of charge.
2. Article Processing Charges An Article Processing Charge is payable only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication following peer review. The APC covers editorial management, peer review administration, professional production, online hosting, and immediate open-access publication under the CC BY 4.0 license.
National Authors (Pakistan): PKR 40,000
International Authors: USD 260
The applicable rate is determined by the corresponding author's institutional affiliation at the time of acceptance.
3. Waivers and Discounts JBS offers partial or full waivers on a case-by-case basis for authors from low-income countries or those facing genuine financial hardship. Waiver requests must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission and will be considered independently of the editorial decision.
4. Refund Policy A full refund will be issued only in cases of duplicate payment or if the article is withdrawn by the journal for editorial or ethical reasons prior to publication.
No refund will be provided once an article has been formally accepted, published, or voluntarily withdrawn by the author after acceptance.
5. Post-Acceptance Changes Minor corrections, including errata or corrigenda, after publication are handled according to the journal's corrections and retractions policy and do not incur additional charges.
Requests for substantial post-acceptance changes are generally not permitted once the Version of Record has been published.
