Waiver-Eligibility

The Journal of Bioscience Studies (JBS) is dedicated to promoting equitable access to scientific publishing by offering Article Processing Charge (APC) waivers for authors from resource-limited settings. To qualify for a full or partial waiver, the corresponding author must be affiliated with an institution in a low-income country as classified by the World Bank, possess a valid ORCID ID, and provide an official financial hardship statement from their institution at the time of manuscript submission. Eligible applicants include researchers from countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Afghanistan, and others listed under the World Bank’s low-income and lower-middle-income economies. Authors must indicate their waiver request in the cover letter, upload the required documentation, and meet all eligibility criteria for consideration. Each request is reviewed independently by the JBS Editorial Board, which provides a decision within two weeks; waivers do not affect the peer-review process and are granted solely based on financial need and available journal resources. For further guidance or waiver submissions, authors may contact the editorial office at editor@jbioss.com. Through this waiver program, JBS reaffirms its commitment to supporting global research participation and ensuring fair access to publication opportunities.
