Copyright and Publishing Rights
The Journal of Bioscience Studies (JBS) is a fully open-access journal. Authors retain copyright of their published articles. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
Creative Commons Licensing The CC BY 4.0 license permits unrestricted use, distribution, reproduction, adaptation, and commercial reuse in any medium or format, provided that the original work is appropriately cited and any modifications are clearly indicated. The Version of Record of every article published by JBS is licensed under CC BY 4.0.
Publishing Rights By submitting a manuscript to JBS, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish the work, identify JBS as the original publisher, and make the published article available in electronic and other appropriate formats. The journal may also deposit published content in relevant repositories and scholarly preservation services to support long-term accessibility and discoverability.
Author Rights
• Authors may share, copy, and redistribute the published article in any medium or format.
• Authors may reuse published content in future scholarly works, including books, theses, lectures, and academic presentations, with appropriate attribution.
• Authors may deposit the Version of Record or accepted manuscript in institutional or subject repositories immediately upon publication, with no embargo.
• Authors may reuse figures, tables, and other components of their published work with appropriate citation.
Third-Party Material Authors are responsible for identifying and obtaining all necessary permissions for any third-party material included in a manuscript, including figures, tables, images, or text, that is not covered by the CC BY 4.0 license. Appropriate attribution and permission statements must be provided where required. Material for which the necessary rights cannot be secured may be excluded from publication.
Copyright Retention JBS does not require authors to transfer copyright to the journal. Authors retain copyright of their published work while granting the journal the non-exclusive publishing rights necessary to publish and disseminate the article. The journal's open-access publishing and licensing framework is designed to maximize accessibility, enable responsible reuse, protect author rights, and support long-term scholarly dissemination in accordance with recognized international open-access publishing practices.
